To us you are more than a tennis player. Yes, we refine your strokes, emphasize strategy, and provide action oriented drills. But we also heighten your confidence, concentration, and motivation. All these areas help you reach the next level of tennis play.

Improving and having fun go together. We encourage you to praise each other’s successes with words, smiles and high fives. We are enthusiastic teachers, giving you constant feedback as you master new skills. Humor, laughter, and acting are always present in our teaching.

Principles learned from tennis do apply to school challenges, office tasks, and relationships with family and friends. Learning to focus on controllable elements and to be serene with things outside your influence is valuable wisdom for both tennis and life.

Steve and Barbara Wilkinson Tennis Complex Dedication and 40-Love Campaign Celebration

TLC completed our $4,000,000 campaign, surpassing our goal and finishing with $4,800,000 from over 600 different donors to endow scholarships and facilities! And we were able to then celebrate with Barb Wilkinson the naming of all tennis facilities on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus the "Steve and Barbara Wilkinson Tennis Complex". This is in memory of Steve and in honor of Barb, the founders of TLC in 1977, when Steve was on his way to also becoming the winningest coach in college tennis history.

I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED TLC! Your instructors are incredibly knowledgeable. In addition, the LIFE portion is equally valuable. I don’t know if I can properly express just how valuable your staff are in positively affecting peoples’ lives. —camper, Madison, WI
